If you’ve read some of my past blog posts, you know that one of my favorite things about being an author is having the chance to have met so many wonderful people – readers, bloggers and other authors. One of those fabulous people is Mira Garland.
Mira and I met via Facebook during my 2-week feature in the Indie Love Book Club. At the time, Mira was only a blogger and a huge fan and supporter of mine. She was kind enough to read and review my book and garnered lots of exposure for me. And I’ve seen her do this for a lot of other authors, too. So when I heard that she was getting ready to publish her first book, Sudden Hope, I was ready to return the favor!
Mira is one of the sweetest, kindest and most giving people that I’ve come across on this writing journey. If you’re looking to find your next read, check out her blog, and of course check out Sudden Hope. For less than a Starbucks latte, you can grab Sudden Hope for only $2.99 and hours of enjoyment. I know I can’t wait to get my hands on her book.

Here’s the book blurb for Sudden Hope:
When your nightmares become reality and you can’t wake up, what do you do?
Celeste is a normal teenage girl. After the loss of her father her life seems to be in constant turmoil. She realizes her worst nightmares are occurring while she's still awake.
Just as it looks like her life is on the right path; things go terribly wrong and leave her in a spiraling whirlwind of emotion.
Trying to find her father’s killer and dealing with an ex that will do anything to get revenge; she feels like she is falling.
The only thing that is holding her together is her support system; her friends and Danny.
Celeste loves Danny more than life itself, although now is just not the time to be with him. He is the answer to her dreams, he is her one true love, and most importantly, her hope.
Only life isn't fair and doesn't play by the rules.
You are the founder behind the Great Books community on Facebook, a page dedicated to your thoughts and feelings on books you've read. What inspired you to start that page?
Truth I was tired of people asking me what to read next. So I made the page. Then it just became about promoting my friends. Now it has turned into my baby.
When did you decide that you wanted to write a book?
I have always wanted to but never thought I could. I did not believe in myself but through good friends and good people I realized I could do anything.
What inspired Sudden Hope, your debut novel?
Well, Sudden Hope is more about me than should be known. No, it is not my life, but many things are based on my life's problems.
What does writing mean to you?
My hopes. My dreams. It has become my world.
What's your next writing adventure?
We will have to see.
