Author Feature – Natasha House

It is truly amazing how powerful the Internet and social media is. Through Facebook and some fabulous author groups, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Natasha House.

Natasha writes several genres, including sci-fi, romance, fantasy, middle grade, and paranormal. Her novel, Grace Alive, is a romance. Since My Art to Inspire is all about inspiration, I asked Natasha about what inspired her to write this book. She said:

Why did I write Grace Alive? Honestly, I said to my sister one day, "I should write a romance." With a roll of my eyes. Literally. That same day I said that, this idea ran through my head. This book has such a strong message in its heart. I have never ever cried while editing a book, and I cried twice while editing this book. A lot of people can relate with Zoe as she goes through struggles with disappointments in her life.

Here's a little snippet from the novel.

Meet Zoe Reed. She is 26, unmarried, and still living with her parents. She works at a lame craft store, where she feels like her life has become one giant disappointment. She's waiting for Mr. Right, yet having never been on a date—let alone kissed a man—she wonders if he will ever come. When Branson Tate and his three kids stumble into her life, she finds the breathtaking man to be exactly opposite of what her parents want for her. He’s not a virgin, has a crazy past, and three children to prove it. Even still, the moment Branson asks her out for coffee, she hears God tell her to go, and her life begins to flip upside down.

Here’s what some Amazon reviewers have said about Grace Alive.

“Grace Alive is a nice, sweet romance. It’s the kind of book you like to read while cuddled under a blanket.” ~Maria Miller, Author

This is a beautiful story of grace winning over law. God is a God of healing, restoration, and second chances. The revelation of the Holy Spirit is shown simply and in powerful ways throughout this novel. I was brought to tears many times--not out of sadness, but out of beauty in how well our Lord's love was demonstrated.” ~ Dawn M. Garcia, M.S.

“Watching the love story develop between Zoe and Brandon as her family struggles with his past, felt very real.” R. Wittenmyer

Here’s a little bit about Natasha from her Amazon author profile.

When Natasha House wakes up in the morning she's got one thing on her brain: writing. "How do normal people think? I mean wouldn't it be boring not having a book in your brain to entertain you?" Natasha works a "normal" job along with pursuing writing. "I randomly grab a scrap piece of paper and furiously scribble. People probably think I'm nuts when I'm talking to myself, but I'm just talking to the characters in my head." Natasha is happily married. She enjoys singing. "I've written over 30 songs including one called: It's coffee time. What can I say I love coffee."
